Queen Anne’s County Parks & Recreation Hosting Summer Camp Counselor Hiring Event

Queen Anne’s County Parks & Recreation is gearing up for a fun and exciting summer—and they’re looking for enthusiastic team members to help make it happen.

The Department will host a Summer Camp Counselor Hiring Event on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1945 4-H Park Road in Centreville 

Make an Impact This Summer

Camp Counselors play a vital role in supporting summer camps, sports programs, special events, and youth activities throughout Queen Anne’s County. These positions help create safe, engaging, and memorable experiences for participants of all ages. Responsibilities may include leading games and activities or providing personalized support to children with additional or special needs.

If you are energetic, responsible, and passionate about working with youth, this could be the perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience while making a positive impact in your community.

Event Highlights

Attendees can:

  • Apply on-site for available positions
  • Meet Recreation Coordinators and learn more about programs
  • Interview on the spot with Human Resources and Recreation staff

Pay ranges from $15.45 to $20.60 per hour, depending on the position 

Eligibility

Applicants must be at least 16 years old OR have completed 10th grade, in accordance with COMAR regulations for working with children in camp settings
