[ARCHIVED] Sewer Line Rupture Rt18 / Cox Creek

Notice to citizens in the vicinity of Cox Creek and Maryland route 18 Stevensville:

A local contractor has just hit and ruptured a sewer force main on Maryland route 18 adjacent to Cox Creek. County crews have been mobilized and are making repairs to the sewer line break.

An advisory against any water activity such as but not limited to swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, wading, etc., for humans and pets is in effect for the next 48 hours.



The contractor was in the process of doing test pits for Delmarva Power and their continuing efforts to permanently restore transmission polls damaged by the recent tornado.
