Queen Anne’s County’s Economic Outlook 2026: Building Momentum – Infrastructure, Investment & Insight set for January 8th, 2026

Queen Anne’s County’s next year of growth and investment takes center stage on January 8, 2026 at Chesapeake College, when the Queen Anne’s County Economic Development Commission hosts Economic Outlook 2026: Building Momentum – Infrastructure, Investment & Insight. This event brings together public and private sector leaders, town officials, developers, and community stakeholders to assess the county’s economic landscape and identify priorities for the year ahead.

As Queen Anne’s County enters a pivotal year, Economic Outlook 2026 is designed to support informed decision-making and coordinated growth. The program will highlight infrastructure development and investment trends while elevating localized perspectives from North Queen Anne’s, Mid-County, and Kent Island.

A featured component of the event will be a panel discussion with the Maryland Legislative District 36 delegation, including Senator Stephen S. Hershey, Jr. and Delegates Steven J. Arentz, Jefferson L. Ghrist, and Jay A. Jacobs, who will share insights on statewide priorities and policy considerations shaping the year ahead.

Attendees will also receive updates on key performance indicators (KPIs), gain clarity on statewide policy shifts for 2026, and hear directly from developers and major project leaders shaping the built environment. Whether participants are policymakers, investors, business owners, or community advocates, the event will provide timely perspective and actionable information to help plan for growth and opportunity across Queen Anne’s County.

"Economic Outlook 2026 is more than just a discussion—it’s an opportunity for action," says Heather Tinelli, Director of Queen Anne’s County Economic & Tourism Development. "We are excited to bring together public and private sectors to lay the groundwork for future growth in Queen Anne's County."
