Queen Anne’s County Staff Present at 2025 Maryland Association of Counties Conference
Queen Anne’s County staff recently participated in the 2025 Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) Conference, held in December in Cambridge, Maryland. The biannual conference brings together county elected officials and professional staff from across the state to network, collaborate, share best practices, and receive specialized training on local government issues.
MACo is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that represents all 24 Maryland counties, including Baltimore City. MACo serves as the unified voice of county government, promoting effective and efficient local governance through advocacy, education, and collaboration.
Several Queen Anne’s County staff members were selected to present educational sessions at the conference, sharing local expertise and innovative approaches with peers from across the state. Presentations included:
- Amy Moredock, Director of Planning and Zoning, Housing at the Crossroads: Local Challenges in a Changing Landscape
- Beth Malasky, Public Information Manager, Streamlining Engagement: Maximizing Communication Tools for Government
- Beverly Churchill, Human Resources Director, RX for Retention: County Strategies for Prescription Drug Spending
- Todd Mohn, County Administrator, Highway User Revenues: The Lifeline of Local Roads
Participation in the MACo Conference allows Queen Anne’s County staff to both learn from and contribute to statewide conversations on policy, operations, and service delivery, strengthening local government across Maryland.
