[ARCHIVED] Upcoming Public Meetings: Share Your Input on Transportation, Cable Service, and Trail Connectivity

Queen Anne’s County residents have several opportunities next week to share feedback and learn more about important local and state initiatives.

MDOT SHA Public Meeting – Monday, October 20
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will host a public meeting to discuss safety, driver behavior, and long-term improvements at the MD 405/US 301 intersection.

🕠 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
📍 Price Community Center, 121 Rabbit Hill Road, Church Hill
 Area residents and commuters are encouraged to attend and provide input on potential safety improvements for this busy intersection.

Breezeline Cable Franchise Town Hall – Tuesday, October 21
Residents, businesses, and community organizations are invited to participate in a Town Hall meeting to share feedback about cable television service provided by Breezeline.

🕕 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
📍 Vincit Building, 110 Vincit Street, Centreville

Queen Anne’s County is gathering public input to evaluate Breezeline’s performance and identify community needs as part of the cable franchise renewal process.
Attendees are encouraged to share comments on topics such as customer service, technical quality, billing practices, and repair response. County staff will also provide updates about QACTV, the local government access station.

The Town Hall will be televised, and comments may also be submitted to publiccomment@qac.org for those unable to attend in person.

US 50/301 Pedestrian Overpass Feasibility Study – Thursday, October 23
In partnership with the Baltimore Metropolitan Council, Queen Anne’s County will host a public meeting to present proposed options from the US 50/301 Pedestrian Overpass Feasibility Study.

🕕 6:00 p.m.
📍 Queen Anne’s County Library – Kent Island Branch, 200 Library Circle, Stevensville

The study explores safe and accessible bicycle and pedestrian connections across the US 50/301 corridor, linking the Cross Island Trail and South Island Trail.
 Community input is a vital part of the planning process and can be shared:

  • At the public meeting (comment forms available)
  • By email to publiccomment@qac.org (through November 5)
  • During the public comment portion of any County Commissioner Meeting (2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 5:30 p.m.)
