Update! We are able to keep the park open and will be postponing the work on the boardwalk. There will still be some invasive control activity in the general park area although it will remain open.
Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation will temporarily close Ferry Point Park, including the boardwalk from the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center on Monday September 29, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Crews will be working to manage invasive plant species along the boardwalk and throughout the park.
This important maintenance helps preserve the natural habitat and improve conditions for all users. We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during this brief closure. Work is subject to change due to weather conditions.
