Corsica River Day: A Celebration of Environmental Stewardship
Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation invites the public to join the annual Corsica River Day on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Conquest Preserve in Centreville, MD. The event is free and open to all ages.
For more than two decades, Corsica River Day has served as a cornerstone of local conservation efforts, bringing the community together to learn, celebrate, and take action in protecting our natural resources. What began in 2004 as Watershed Awareness Day at Bloomfield Farm has grown into a countywide tradition of environmental stewardship and family fun.
This year’s event will feature:
- Hands-on activities for the whole family
- Pony rides
- Kayaking
- Face painting
- Moon bounce
- Delicious local food from Tasty Toucan and Walkers Family Deep Fried Seafood Truck
- Giveaways, prizes, and more!
Beyond the fun, Corsica River Day continues to highlight the importance of protecting watersheds and practicing sustainable habits. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with environmental experts, gain practical tips for reducing pollution and conserving natural resources, and leave with a renewed sense of responsibility to care for the Corsica River and its surrounding ecosystems. The collective impact of these efforts has contributed to measurable improvements in local water quality, demonstrating the power of community-driven conservation.
Join us for an afternoon of discovery, excitement, and community pride at Conquest Preserve as we celebrate more than 20 years of Corsica River Day!
