Queen Anne’s County Animal Services Hosts Kitten Summit to Prepare Volunteers for Kitten Season
Queen Anne’s County Animal Services invites the community to its annual Kitten Summit on Saturday, March 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is designed for current and prospective volunteers and fosters who want to learn how to care for kittens in the upcoming year.
The Kitten Summit will provide a learning opportunity from experienced fosters and shelter staff. Meet and connect with fellow kitten fosters and discuss what we would like to improve from 2024.
“This event is a great way for new and returning fosters to gain confidence in kitten care before the busy season begins,” said Kelly Baker, Chief of Animal Services “The knowledge shared at the Kitten Summit will make a huge difference in the lives of vulnerable kittens in our community.”
Fostering kittens is a vital part of supporting Queen Anne’s County Animal Services, especially in the spring and summer months when the shelter receives a surge of kittens in need. By attending the Kitten Summit, participants will be better prepared to provide temporary homes and lifesaving care.
The event will take place at Queen Anne’s County Animal Services, 201 Clay Drive, Queenstown. Those interested can learn more and RSVP through the Facebook event page: Kitten Summit Facebook Event.
