On Thursday, June 20, County Commissioner Jim Moran, alongside staff and the Commission on Aging members, hosted tours of the four senior centers across Queen Anne’s County. This tour highlighted the services provided to seniors in this county and showcased how their lives improve by being a part of these systems.
The tour started at 9:00 am at the Kramer Center, with the first destination being Sudlersville Senior Center. The tour then continued to Grasonville Senior Center, Kent Island Senior Center, and the YMCA Active Aging Center.
Commissioner Moran was joined by Commission on Aging members Janet Salazar, Janet Melson, Bonnie Walter, Toni Breeding, and Becky Barbee. Also in attendance were Cathy Willis, Director of Community Services; Annie Sparks, Chief of Aging and Transportation; Stacy Voorhees, Senior Center Administrator; and Stephen Palmer, Transit Administrator. Some members of the Active Aging Center included in the photo are Don, Dennis, Greg, Reginard, Doug, Merriam, Hillary, Ed, and Arden.
