Centreville Farmers’ Market hosts volunteer meetings on March 22 & 28
CENTREVILLE, MD -- When it comes to likes on social media platforms farmers’ markets rank right up there. The reality is that nothing beats actually coming out to the market and purchasing from a local farmer or producer.
The Centreville Farmers’ Market has made great strides, but in order to continue to build a stronger market it needs more volunteers. Volunteers shape market policies, email and recruit market vendors, and help promote the market. Onsite and at-home tasks are available.
Residents and community members passionate about locally grown produce and value-added items are encouraged to attend an upcoming meeting to learn about volunteer opportunities. Both meetings will be held at QAC Planning and Zoning Conference Room, 110 Vincit Street. The meetings will be held Wednesday, March 22nd, 10-11 a.m. and Tuesday, March 28th, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Walk-ins welcome.

The Centreville Farmers’ Market is in search of an organized, creative thinker with ties in the community who can take the market to the next level. Compensation includes a cash stipend plus a weekly shopping allowance at the market.
