Queen Anne’s County Partners with Chesapeake Bay Trust for Outreach and Restoration Grant Program
Queen Anne’s County has partnered with Chesapeake Bay Trust to offer funding for the Outreach and Restoration Grant Program. The deadline to apply is August 10.
Queen Anne’s County is looking for projects that include:
- Education and outreach efforts that include monitoring equipment installation to assess the performance of existing public Best Management Project’s (BMP) (Those with school owned BMP’s are highly encouraged to apply)
- Installation of stormwater best management practices and restoration projects such as tree plantings, rain gardens, meadow plantings, and other low impact development techniques.
- Workshops on training for stormwater management project maintenance.
- Working with Queen Anne’s County Government on developing a Kent Island Watershed plan from available data and identifying gaps and opportunities.

The partnership between Queen Anne’s County and the Chesapeake Bay Trust began in 2019. Since that time 1,900 native plants and trees have been planted and 60,858 square feet of reforestation has occurred because of projects that were funded with this grant opportunity.
