- Support letter for a block grant for MD Heritage Areas Authority
This is a support letter for a management grant application to the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority and a $25,000 Mini-Grant Block Grant submitted by the Eastern Shore Heritage, Inc. (ESHI), which is the managing entity of the Stories of the Chesapeake Heritage Area (SCHA). APPROVED 5-0
- Kent Narrows Marine, LLC – Shared Access & Parking Easement
This is an easement allowing for shared access and parking on property owned by Kent Narrows Marine. The developer is providing the County access to, and the use of certain parking areas for public parking. APPROVED 5-0
- Bay Bridge Run 2021 Agreements MdTA & Corrigan Sports Enterprises, Inc
This item includes two MOU’s for the Bay Bridge Run scheduled for 10/31/21. The first is with MdTA and the second is with the new event sponsor Corrigan Sports Enterprises, Inc. It is anticipated that the event will see anywhere from 16,000-20,000 participants. QAC public safety along with other County agencies will work closely with organizers to assist in hosting a successful event. APPROVED 5-0
- Cooperative Agreement to control & eradicate noxious &invasive weeds
This is the annual Cooperative Agreement between the Maryland Department of Agriculture and Queen Anne’s County that provides for cooperation in the control and eradication of noxious and certain invasive weeds for the period July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. APPROVED 5-0
- Budget Amendment CC-40 – SKI Wastewater
This amendment establishes budget authority in the SKI Wastewater fund for the debt service associated with the SKI loan. The debt service is funded with a transfer in from Fund 278 - SKI Assessments. APPROVED 5-0
- Budget Amendment CC-41 – Emergency Rental Assistance
This amendment recognizes the Emergency Rental Assistance Program grant through the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 enacted by Congress in December 2020 This award was approved in the amount $1,656,284. $530,000 is estimated to be used in the remainder of FY2022. APPROVED 5-0
Desk item #7 Letter of Support – This is a Social Justice Small Grant Support letter for Talisman Therapeutic Riding to create environmental activities and programs on the Farm. APPROVED 5-0
Desk Item #8 Emergency Simulation Manikins for County Health Department – This is a Procurement for the replacement of an adult and a pediatric emergency simulation manikins. These manikins are used for training purposes. The Health Department followed County procurement procedures to obtain qualified bids and they recommend the award of this contract to Gaumard for $87,307 for the Manikins and an additional $37,690 for the 5-year service plan for a total contract price of $124,997. Funds are available in the FY 21 Health Department budget. APPROVED 5-0
