QAC Announces New Website for 2021 Comprehensive Plan Update
Queen Anne’s County announces a new website for the 2021 Comprehensive Plan Update. The website can be found at www.qacplan2021.com and includes upcoming meetings and workshops, ways to get and be involved in the process and more information about the Plan. This website will serve as the main portal for public notices and updates about the ongoing planning process.
The Comprehensive Plan serves as a guide for the County’s future growth, revitalization, preservation and resilience. Our Plan is generally updated every 10 years with our last update in 2010. The Plan will address the following elements: Goals and Objectives, Land Use, Housing, Community Facilities, Transportation, Water Resources, Sensitive Areas, Areas of Critical State Concern, Historic and Cultural Preservation, Tourism, Economic Development, and Development Regulations.
Guided by Wallace Montgomery project manager Lauren Good, the Queen Anne’s County Planning Commission is leading the efforts in this project which will also include input from our citizens. At the conclusion of the planning process the 2020 Comprehensive Plan will be presented to the County Commissioners for adoption.
Virtual meetings and surveys will be announced at www.qacplan2021.com. The next step is for a workshop at an upcoming Planning Commission meeting. Citizens are encouraged to monitor this website for all relevant updates, meetings, and draft documents throughout this planning process.
We are looking for your input and engagement in this very important process. Please visit www.qacplan2021.com and add your email address to the mailing list and stay in the know!
