Queen Anne’s County Drug Free Coalition Announces QAC Goes Purple in September
The last several years, Queen Anne’s County has stood up against substance abuse by going purple in September. This year Queen Anne’s County Drug Free Coalition asks that you show your support by illuminating your home or business with purple lights during the Month of September.
This September the Drug Free Coalition (DFC) will be sending out educational messages and public services announcements through social media and local media outlets with the help from local students, volunteers and county leaders.
This year the DFC will be including messages and information about alcohol, marijuana, tobacco and vaping as well as opioids.
With schools closed for the first semester and activities being cancelled it is more important than ever to continue our substance use prevention. Our school system is also a partner and will be helping to send out “Staying Drug Free” messages to our students.
