According to SHA, Gravel Run Bridge is nearing the end of the major construction and the contractor has completed the pour for the end post of the bridge. When all forms are removed this will allow the contractor to remove the barricade and allow for:
- The towns utility project contractor to complete their work and will allow for landscaping. By the end of October, it is anticipated that SHA will be able to switch the traffic back to one way on both Liberty and Commerce Streets.
- Workers at Mill Stream are pouring the bridge abutments and building the forms for the bridge deck. The contractors schedule shows the deck pour being done in mid-September. Once the deck curing has taken place the contractor will slide the bridge deck into place. This is scheduled to occur from October 18 - 20. This Fall SHA will then pave the roadway approaches.
- The paving of MD 213 through the Town of Centreville on both Liberty and Commerce Streets is scheduled to be paved in the Spring of 2020 as soon as weather permits.
