Dog-in-Snow.jpg

The Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services and its Animal Control Division want to remind citizens to provide their pets with adequate protection from the weather during these cold temperatures. Our Animal Control Officers will be conducting patrols throughout the county and handling calls regarding pets left in unsafe conditions without proper shelter and protection from the elements.

In Queen Anne’s County, failure to provide a pet with proper shelter may result in civil charges for violating the county’s minimum standards of care or misdemeanor cruelty/neglect charges. To report pets left in unsafe conditions please call 410-758-2393.
