Queen Anne’s County Invites Public to Final Scoping Session for Chesapeake Legacy Museum
Queen Anne’s County Department of Economic and Tourism Development invites residents and community stakeholders to participate in the Final Public Scoping Session focused on reimagining the Chesapeake Legacy Museum.
The public session will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Chesapeake Heritage & Visitor Center.
Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by emailing pyoung@qac.org.
Community input is a critical part of this process as the County explores new and engaging ways to share the rich history, heritage, and culture of Queen Anne’s County with both residents and visitors. Feedback gathered during this final scoping session will help shape the future direction of the Chesapeake Legacy Museum.
The Chesapeake Heritage & Visitor Center serves as a hub for discovering all that Queen Anne’s County has to offer. Visitor Center staff are available to provide directions, information, and recommendations on local attractions and points of interest. While visiting, guests are encouraged to explore the Chesapeake Legacy Museum, which features interactive exhibits highlighting the County’s history and culture, along with a rotating artist series showcasing Eastern Shore talent.
Visitors can also take the elevator or spiral staircase to the outdoor viewing tower for panoramic 360-degree views of the Kent Narrows waterfront.
