2026 Opioid Awareness Poster Contest Invites Queen Anne’s County Students to Take a Stand
Queen Anne’s County students in grades 6–12 are invited to participate in the 2026 Opioid Awareness Poster Contest, a creative opportunity to raise awareness about opioid misuse while sharing positive, supportive messages with the community.
Open to students in public, private, and homeschool settings, the contest encourages participants to design original posters that promote prevention, hope, and community awareness. Students do not need to be artists to participate—entries can include drawings, paintings, sketches, photography, or AI-generated images. The focus is on positive, impactful messaging that supports opioid awareness.
Each participating school or group will have one winner selected, with prizes awarded at both the middle- and high-school levels. Middle school winners (grades 6–8) will receive a $300 Amazon gift card, while high school winners (grades 9–12) may choose either a $300 Amazon gift card or a free driver’s education course.
Entries must be submitted by February 14, 2026, at midnight. Posters may be turned in as a hard copy through the student’s school or submitted digitally as a print-quality PDF. All entries must follow contest guidelines and support opioid awareness in a positive and appropriate manner.
Winning posters may be featured in countywide outreach efforts to help educate residents and encourage healthy, informed choices. Students will also be recognized at a County Commissioners meeting in the spring.
Full contest rules, messaging guidance, and submission details are available at QACGoesPurple.org.
This contest is funded by the Queen Anne’s County Drug Free Coalition and the Queen Anne’s County Commissioners.
This is not a Queen Anne’s County Public Schools event.
