CarFit Safety Event for Older Drivers at Kent Island Senior Center
In partnership with MDOT MVA Highway Safety Office
Queen Anne’s County Department of Community Services is pleased to announce a free CarFit event for older drivers, taking place on Tuesday, May 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Kent Island Senior Center, located at 891 Love Point Road, Stevensville.
CarFit is an educational program developed to help older adults ensure their personal vehicles “fit” them properly for maximum comfort and safety. At the event, drivers will work one-on-one with trained technicians and health professionals who will guide them through a 12-point checklist. Adjustments can be made to improve visibility, reduce blind spots, and ensure proper seat and mirror positioning—all critical factors for safe driving.
This event is not a driving test or mechanical inspection. Each check takes approximately 20 minutes and is designed to enhance driver safety and promote mobility within the community.
The event is held in partnership with the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration’s Highway Safety Office.
Appointments are required. To register, call (410) 604-3801.
