📞🚨 National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week
April 13–19, 2025
This week, we recognize the dedicated professionals who are the calm voices on the other end of a 9-1-1 call—our Public Safety Telecommunicators.
They are the first point of contact in an emergency, engaging with callers who are often in distress and making split-second decisions that are critical to saving lives and protecting property. These professionals are responsible for gathering vital information, assessing the situation, dispatching field responders, and managing the ongoing incident—all while remaining calm, compassionate, and professional.
Public Safety Telecommunicators play a vital role in the safety of our police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and mental health crisis counselors. They are supported by a team of technology specialists and staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring operations run smoothly 24/7.
This week, we honor their compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to public safety.
📍 The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners proudly proclaim April 13–19, 2025, as National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week. Please join us in thanking these essential workers who make our community safer every day. 💙👮♂️🚒🚑
