Join Us for a Fun-Filled Day Trip to Harrington Casino & Raceway!

The Department of Community Services invites you for a day trip to the Harrington Casino and Raceway on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. For just $50 per person, this opportunity includes motorcoach transportation, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free journey to and from the casino.

Once at Harrington, you’ll have the chance to try your luck at slot machines or table games. You can also enjoy a delicious lunch (at your own expense), allowing you to customize your day to your own preferences. With a variety of gaming options available, you could even be the next BIG winner!

Trip Details:

  • Cost: $50 per person (includes motorcoach transportation, taxes, and gratuities).
  • Minimum Age: Participants must be 21 years or older.
  • Registration & Payment: Full payment is due at the time of sign-up, along with a completed Registration Form and Waiver of Release Form.
  • Registration Deadline: Friday, November 1, 2024.
  • Capacity: A minimum of 35 participants is required for the trip.
  • Important: All participants must bring a valid photo ID on the day of the trip.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off Locations:

  1. Kent Island Senior Center
     891 Love Point Road, Stevensville, MD 21666
    Depart at 9:40 AM
    Return at 4:20 PM
  2. Active Aging Center at the YMCA
     210 Vincit Street, Centreville, MD 21617
    Depart at 10:10 AM
    Return at 3:50 PM

Please park at the back of the lot away from the building entrance.

Schedule (Approximate Times):

  • Arrive at Harrington Casino: 11:00 AM
  • Depart from Harrington Casino: 3:00 PM

This trip may require a moderate activity level, including walking, standing, and the ability to climb stairs.

Chaperone Opportunity:

We are seeking a volunteer to serve as trip chaperone. As compensation, the selected chaperone(s) will attend the trip free of charge. If you are interested, please contact the Department of Community Services at 410-758-0848 ext. 2708. Selection is on a first-come, first-served basis.
