On Monday, December 4, Maryland State Highway Administration will CLOSE all lanes of US 301 at the Chester River, just south of MD 291 in Kent/Queen Anne's counties. This one-day closure will be in place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for bridge monitoring during pile driving operations. Detour signs will be posted. Southbound US 301 drivers can take MD 291 west to MD 290 south to MD 544 east back to US 301, a total of 8 miles. Northbound drivers can take MD 544 east to MD 313 north to MD 291 west back to US 301, a total of 4.2 miles.
