County Commissioners Seeking Members for Economic Development Commission

 

The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners are actively seeking individuals to fill two vacancies on the Economic Development Commission (EDC). The EDC plays a crucial role in shaping the economic landscape of the county. The deadline for applications is set for August 18, 2023.

 

The current openings on the Economic Development Commission are industry-specific, in accordance with the EDC's bylaws, which mandate representation from the county’s key strategic industry sectors. The Queen Anne’s County EDC is looking for dedicated individuals to represent two important domains: the local Manufacturing industry and the Agritourism sector. Eligible applicants must be Queen Anne’s County residents with significant industry experience in either Manufacturing or Agritourism.

 

The Queen Anne’s County Economic Development Commission holds a mission to foster collaboration with stakeholders from the private, public, and non-profit sectors. Together, they pursue economically and environmentally sustainable and balanced growth opportunities for businesses, tourism, and agriculture within the county.
