US 50/301 Ramp Management Program Continues on Kent Island to Improve Local Access and Traffic Flow

Queen Anne’s County, in partnership with the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA), will continue the US 50/301 (Blue Star Memorial Highway) Ramp Management Program on Kent Island this summer. The initiative aims to encourage westbound travelers to stay on US 50/301 and help relieve congestion on MD 18 (Main Street) for local residents and emergency responders.

Queen Anne’s County Commissioners FY 2026 Proposed Budget  

Queen Anne’s County Commissioners have released their proposed operating and capital budget for Fiscal Year 2026. The proposed operating budget for the general fund totals $209.1 million, reflecting an 8.8% increase over FY 2025. The proposed capital budget is $47.2 million, with a six-year capital improvement plan totaling $464.8 million for all County agencies and the Board of Education. We held 3 Public Information Sessions in May to hear from residents. There is still time to send in yoru comments to publiccomment@qac.org before adoption on Tuesday June 10.
