  5. Queen Anne's County featured in Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage 2019

    Be a guest in eight historic properties in Queen Anne’s Co., including privately owned homes and other historic venues, some dating back to the 1700’s. Each offers a unique perspective on the county’s rich and diverse history. See preserved ice & meat houses, slave quarters and a restored African American school from segregation days. Experience past lives of prominent rural Eastern Shore families, and much more. The properties featured in this one-day-only event are conveniently clustered in the Kent Island, Queenstown, and Centreville areas. A delicious box lunch is available, with advanced reservations encouraged by April 26 (contact Michele Shultz, 410-979-2673). Proceeds benefit historic preservation in QA County. No strollers/high heels. 3 of 8 interiors wheelchair acc. Tour is part of 2019 Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage (MHGP), held across Maryland since 1937. MHGP is non-profit org.
