Almost 30 years ago, in Oct 1989, an amazing substance abuse prevention program launched in Centreville. The town’s police chief at that time wanted to combine Halloween, Red Ribbon Week, and National Crime Prevention Month into one community-based event. His brainchild, “The Haunted Crack House Project,” told the tale of Liz, a 16-year-old entangled in the web of addiction. After worldwide replications of the project since 1989, we are bringing the incredible presentation back to the community in which it was created—for a 30th anniversary edition centered on the current opioid crisis. Project will be presented October 24-26, 2019. Come be a part of this innovative community project!
