Queen Anne’s County to Host Community Conversation on Land Use and Development Process

Queen Anne’s County Government invites residents to attend A Community Conversation about Land Use and the Queen Anne’s County Development Process on Thursday, November 20, at the Kent Island Library, located at 200 Library Circle, Stevensville.

The event will begin at 6:00 PM with welcoming remarks by County Commission President Chris Corchiarino, followed by a presentation of several videos regarding development topics. This will be followed with a question-and-answer session and open house where attendees can engage directly with county staff. Representatives from Planning and Zoning and the Department of Public Works will be available to discuss how development occurs in Queen Anne’s County and how residents can participate in the process.

Topics covered will include:

  • Development and project review procedures
  • Boards and commissions
  • Floodplain management
  • Stormwater management
  • Water and sewer infrastructure
  • Traffic and roads
  • Long-range planning
  • Critical Area regulations
  • How to make public comments and get involved

The open house will feature stations, staffed by subject matter experts who can answer questions and provide resources. A playlist of informational videos and frequently asked questions will along with all materials presented will be posted on qac.org following the event.

  • Q&A with Commissioners and Staff: 6:45–7:15 PM
