Public Invited to Participate in MD 18 Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study Open House
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) announces a public open house event for the MD 18 Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study. The purpose of this meeting is to engage the community and gather valuable input regarding potential improvements along MD 18 (Main Street) from Castle Marina Road to Kent Narrows in Queen Anne’s County.
The open house will take place on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department located at 1610 Main St., Chester, MD 21619. In the event of inclement weather, a snow date has been set for December 20, 2023.
Unlike a traditional meeting format, this will be a self-paced event without a formal presentation. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at any time during the meeting hours to view informative display boards, interact with representatives, ask questions, and provide feedback on the MD 18 corridor’s needs and potential enhancements.
For those unable to attend the open house, additional information and updates regarding the MD 18 PEL Study can be found on the project website: MD 18 PEL Project Study Website.
