During the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for our brand new Queen Anne’s County Family YMCA and Active Aging Center, we took a moment to honor the remarkable leadership that brought this incredible initiative to life. County Commissioner Jim Moran delivered a heartfelt tribute to County Administrator, Todd Mohn.
Jim Moran shared, "This initiative started in 2009 under the leadership of then County Administrator Gregg Todd, driving the bus. In 2019 when Todd Mohn took over as County Administrator, the bus never moved so fast! I want to thank Gregg Todd for getting this project started, and Todd Mohn for all of his 'Can Do Attitude.' Whenever he talks to anyone about the YMCA project, he would normally close the conversation by saying, 'Do you wanna join the Y?'"
Following the official ceremony, we had the privilege of presenting a room dedication to Todd Mohn from County Commissioner Jim Moran, Cathy Willis, Director of QAC Department of Community Services and Robert Gill, CEO of YMCA of the Chesapeake, in recognition of his unwavering support and outstanding leadership throughout this project.
Todd Mohn's dedication, enthusiasm, and "Can Do Attitude" have been instrumental in bringing this vision to fruition, and we are deeply grateful for his commitment to the health and wellness of our community.
Join us in congratulating Todd Mohn on this well-deserved recognition, and remember, "Do you wanna join the Y?"
