Once in the spring and once in the fall Maryland Environmental Service holds this event for mid shore county residents. It rotates locations between Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Kent and Caroline County.  The next event will be in Kent County on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 8 am to 2 pm at the Nicholson Drop-Off Center. Maryland Environmental Service

Maryland Environmental Service is heavily involved in Maryland’s recycling efforts. We operate two of the State’s largest recycling facilities for glass, plastics and metals and operate a residential recycling program for the Midshore Counties Located on the upper Eastern Shore of Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay, the Midshore Regional Solid Waste System consists of four planned facilities that will serve the municipal solid waste needs of Talbot, Caroline, Kent and Queen Anne’s Counties for 80 years. This unique partnership is the only regional solid waste management agreement in Maryland. No ticket is needed for recycling computers; they can be taken to the following Transfer Stations:

Batts Neck Transfer Station

Hours: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Centreville

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If the computer is being trashed, it can go to any Transfer Station

Oil & Antifreeze Recycling

Used motor oil and antifreeze are accepted at any of the QAC Transfer Stations; no tickets are needed. The Centreville Transfer Station also will take gasoline. This service is for residents only, not for commercial use; 5 gallon limit per year.
