The Appeals Board meets as required, normally on a Wednesday or Thursday evening, and hear 1 - 3 cases per night.


The Zoning Appeals Board has 3 full-time members and 1 alternate member, all of whom are appointed for 3-year terms.

The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners are looking for county citizen volunteer to fill a vacancy on the Board Appeals - Zoning.  Anyone interested in serving is encouraged to send a letter of interest and brief resume to or via mail to Lynda Thomas, 107 N. The Zoning Appeals Board was established in 1961 to hold public hearings on requests for variances, conditional uses and appeals relating to Queen Anne’s County Code.
