Who We Are...
The Queen Anne’s County Emergency Medical Services (QAC EMS) Division began in 1988 operation a single paramedic chase unit supporting the nine all volunteer Fire Departments within our County
QAC EMS has evolved into a system employing 32 full-time emergency medical technicians and paramedics, 4 sergeants, 4 lieutenants, a division chief, a physician medical director, and part-time EMS providers. EMS personnel are held to high standards ensuring that every member is not only trained in EMS and hazardous materials, but are trained in specialized services such as firefighting and rescue operations.
Today, four advanced life support ambulances are staffed around the clock by two licensed EMS providers at stations in Stevensville, Queenstown, Centreville, and Sudlersville. Two supervisor vehicles are located at the Kent Narrows station and at Headquarters in Centreville.
Our EMS division works closely with our volunteer fire/EMS partners and law enforcement within the county as well as mutual aid providers from neighboring counties and the Maryland State Police Aviation Division.
The QAC EMS Division continues to provide the highest level of service attainable to the citizens and visitors of Queen Anne’s County through the devotion, compassion and expertise of our staff.
