Public Works - Cable Franchise Office
Press Release - Digital Migration - August 2010
View Our Cable Ordinance, Adopted October 2003
Cable Franchise Agreement with Atlantic Broadband - July 2004 The Department of Public Works enforces the County's cable franchise
agreement with Atlantic Broadband (dated July 6, 2004). Queen Anne's County currently does
not set basic cable rates, but does require a certain standard of service for
county subscribers.
If you have a complaint about any aspect of your cable television service,
including billing, first call Atlantic Broadband at (800) 559-1746. You may also
visit their local office at 330 Drummer Drive in Grasonville. Give
Atlantic Broadband an opportunity to resolve the complaint prior to contacting the
County or FCC. Click here for the FCC Fact Sheet Concerning Cable Complaints.
If you are unable to resolve your complaint with Atlantic Broadband, call the
Department of Public Works Cable Franchise Administrator at (410) 758-0925,
fax your complaint to (410) 758-3341, or email the complaint.
Internet and VOIP (Internet phone) complaints may be sent to the FCC at this website
If you live in an incorporated municipality, it's likely that your
municipality granted and enforces it's own franchise agreement. In that
case, Queen Anne's County has no authority over cable television matters within
that incorporated municipality. Your Franchise Authority
information should be on your cable bill.
