Mid-Shore Mental Health Systems

The Mid-Shore Mental Health Systems Board was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization on June 8, 1992 under the Annotated Code of Maryland, Subtitle 12, Core Service Agencies. It serves Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot Counties through a collaboration of the five county governments and mental health stakeholders.

The mission of MSMHS is to continually improve the provision of Mental Health services through effective collaboration with consumers of service, family members, providers and community leaders.  On a local level, their responsibility is to plan, manage and monitor publicly funded, medically necessary mental health services in the five-county region for consumers of all ages; children, adolescents, adults and geriatric population, as well as special populations which include forensic consumers, deaf and hard of hearing consumers and those consumers with co-occurring disorders.
