Seafood Reconciliation Committee

This committee was established in section 19-15 of County Ordinance 08-08, Conduct of Seafood Operations. Appointed members will arbitrate and mediate disputes involving seafood industry operations and issue opinions concerning whether or not such seafood operations are conducted in a manner consistent with generally accepted seafood practices.

Members are composed of representatives of the seafood industry, a municipality, a real estate interest and an additional member not actively engaged in the seafood industry. Non-voting members will be appointed from the Maryland Waterman's Association and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

The Seafood Reconciliation Committee will serve four year terms after the initial staggered appointments and will meet at least once annually.
