The facility was purchased by the Housing Authority in 2007 as an existing 8-bed facility with an additional 8-bed section under construction. Extensive renovations were completed and the 16-bed assisted living facility is anticipated to be open by early summer. Lori Frase, owner and operator of The Heartland House in Grasonville, Maryland is leasing the property now known as Safe Haven Manor.
